The inaugural Bob Beaver Memorial Clay Pigeon Shoot took place under some fabulous weather conditions at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School on Wednesday 15th July.

Over 70 guests from Builders Merchants and Suppliers to them joined forces to take on the challenge of becoming the industries ‘Top Gun’ and whilst raising money for the Rainy Day Trust, one of the charities that supports those who work or have worked in the sector.

The event sponsors: AkzoNobel, Crystal , Dickies, IKO, Knauf Insulation, Makita, NMBS & Toolbank and their guests enjoyed a fabulous day out of the office in the beautiful Berkshire countryside.

Neil Carter from Long Water Supplies took the Top Gun award and is the proud custodian of the Bob Beaver Trophy for the next 12 months. Runner up just one clay behind him was Malcolm Partridge of Frank Key Group.

The shoot also caters for those who haven’t shot previously and under the guidance and care of the UK’s most experienced and leading instructors Michael Graham from AkzoNobel took top rookie with runner up Steve Halford from Crystal a very close contender.

The event not only provides a great platform for shooting but is also a terrific place to catch up with what is happening in the industry whilst relaxing and networking with some of the leaders and personalities of the Merchant sector.

In all the event raised just over £7,000 for the Rainy Day Trust.

An exclusive day not to be missed – Thursday 14th July 2016 with your chance to take on the industry at the second Bob Beaver Memorial Clay Shoot. For further information drop an email to mda.mail@virgin.net

Kate Tinsley of Buildbase took the ladies award showing a clean pair of heels to her rivals.
